London plastercraft

You can study two examples of our fine London plastercraft at 26 Wilton Place in Knightsbridge and Grosvenor Square in Mayfair. See below or click the highlighted links for more detailed information.

Wilton Place was an extensive refurbishment project that included classic ornamental ceilings and decorative plaster cornice as well as external cast stone pillared archways situated in the garden.

Grosvenor Square provided a perfect opportunity to showcase our skills using Jesmonite to create a Portland Stone portico that includes a water feature, for the garden of this prime residency that is close to Park Lane and Oxford Street in central London.

Lime plastering London

Lime plaster is a traditional building material that was used on walls and ceilings throughout London’s diverse range of properties, especially during the Victorian and Edwardian periods. If you are restoring a Grade I or Grade II listed building it is highly likely you will be required to replace lime plastering and this is something we specialise in. The lath and plaster technique was typically used to finish interior walls and ceilings from the 1700’s to the early 1940’s before it was superseded by modern gypsum plaster and plasterboard. It uses a substrate of riven timber laths with several coats of lime plaster applied over the top and provides a natural, mould resistant and breathable finish.
