We recently completed an external mouldings project for a local client in Kent where we were asked to recreate a missing cap to a very ornate entrance door frame moulding. The two pictures below show the before (left) and after (right).
The casting was created using Jesmonite AC730 – a rapid setting acrylic modified cementitious composite that is available in a range of colours that replicates the look and feel of natural stone. AC730 is durable, UV stable and suffers little to no efflorescence which makes it an excellent material for decorative mouldings and imitation stone architecture.
As you can see from the images, the door frame cap compliments the heavily enriched framework surrounding the entrance door by incorporating leaf and egg & dart patterns.
If you require a quote for door frame mouldings, external cast stone pillars or porticos please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.
