A capital forms the topmost part of a column or pilaster. The word “Corinthian” describes an ornate column style developed in ancient Greece and classified as one of the Classical Orders of Architecture.
We recently completed these bespoke Corinthian capital plaster mouldings and columns as a supply-only commission for a residential project in north London. The capitals were modelled from a client drawing and a mock up was prepared prior to manufacture of the plaster mouldings. Each features Acanthus leaf enrichments to the bottom half, with volutes (spiral-like scroll details) the highlight feature at the top. Each Corinthian capital is joined to a plain straight column shaft and plain base moulded from fibrous plaster using traditional manufacturing techniques.
Made-to-order Corinthian capital plaster mouldings, columns and pilasters can be commissioned, cast and installed by us in your property. We also have a selection of stock moulds on our Product Brochures page. Please contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.
